I was the lead frontend developer for the rebuild of CommBank’s website. I managed a team of four frontend developers over an approximately six-month engagement, taking the site from wireframes through to production.

What I owned

  • A 20,000-page migration off the legacy CMS.
  • A highly technical refactor of the rendering layer and the legacy system support around it.
  • Frontend direction across the team, including ownership of the frontend architecture, code review, and coordination with design and backend teams.

The result was estimated by the bank’s CTO to have saved hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The hardest part wasn’t any one page - it was keeping the site stable while a 20,000-page migration ran in parallel with the rebuild.

let's talk

I'm most energized by staff product engineering roles where I can move from shaping the problem to shipping the product - with frontend depth, full-stack fluency, and a designer's eye for the details.
